Sassy the saw shelled turtle
Wednesday, September 22, 2010
This Saw shelled turtle was brought in to care after it had been caught on a fishing line. Lismore Veterinary clinic operated on the turtle and removed a fishing hook from it's throat. It was kept in care for some time, untill the carer was sure it could feed itself with no problems, and the throat had healed.
The turtle was then taken back to the Wilson River where it had come from, and successfully released.
