Specialist Courses
WIRES is proud to offer a range of advanced species courses tailored to our volunteers, members of licensed wildlife organisations, and industry professionals committed to wildlife conservation. Our courses are based on industry best practices. They are designed to develop the skills of our members and industry professionals so that they can effectively rehabilitate a wide variety of species, from avian to mammals, reptiles, and bats.
Free Introduction to Australian Wildlife Course
For those unfamiliar with Australian native animals, we offer a free online WIRES Community Course, 'An Introduction to Australian Wildlife.' Designed for individuals and families of all ages, this course provides an accessible introduction to our unique wildlife. Available in Arabic, Chinese (simplified), and English, it reflects our commitment to inclusivity. This course, developed in collaboration with the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust, is a valuable resource for newcomers to Australia. It's our way of facilitating understanding and appreciation for the wonders of Australian wildlife.
Please don't hesitate to contact us at training@wires.org.au if you have any questions or need further guidance on WIRES training. We'll gladly assist you on your journey to becoming a WIRES volunteer.
